Terrorists call themselves Jihadis.
Jihadi? Jihaadis are those who practice jihad, but do terrorists practice jihad? NO. then why are they called JIHADIS. Is it just because they call them so? If a murderer calls him a doctor, will we start calling him so? NO, we never will, then why terrorists are being called jihaadis worldwide. The media worldwide has played a major role, in spreading the word jihaadi as a synonym of the word terrorist.
Let me first tell you, what jihad is, and what it is not.
Jihad is often referred as “holy war” but in a purely linguistic sense the word jihad, means struggling or striving.
According to quran as, described by prophet mohammad, jihad is referred as, internal aswell as external efforts to be a good muslim or believer, as well as working to inform people about the faith of islam.
What JIHAAD is NOT.
Jihaad is not a violent concept.
Jihad is not declaration of war against other religion.
Military action in the name of islam, has not been common in the history of islam. Scholars say, calls for violent jihad are not sanctioned by ISLAM.
So, next time before calling a terrorists a JIHADI, please think once.
